Three Days.

Sometimes life smacks you in the face and reminds how valuable life is… Like watching all of the following in a three days time… Like holding hands with your 91 year old grandmother, and not wanting to be anywhere else, but by her side. Like watching your husband’s co-worker die of cancer before the age…

Sometimes life smacks you in the face and reminds how valuable life is…

Like watching all of the following in a three days time…

Like holding hands with your 91 year old grandmother, and not wanting to be anywhere else, but by her side.

Like watching your husband’s co-worker die of cancer before the age of thirty, two months before she was to be a bride.

Like watching a man die on a motorcycle with no loved ones by his side, as cars pass, not even glancing an eye.

Like your husband being away in Southeast Asia, while the Philippines get plummeted and entire islands wiped away. A typhoon, hurricane, call it what you may, thousands are no longer here today.

Like reflecting on the days past, while driving home, glancing away for a second or less, slamming the breaks swerving not to get hit, thinking, I could have been next. My heart beating as rapid as a drum drill. Prayers come unceasing, tears flow, thanking God for his Mercy, protection and Grace.

Like remembering my grandfathers, friends and every warrior that fought for our nation. A loyal cause greater themselves. Some had no recognition, and some never found. Here I write on Veterans Day, nonetheless.

Never forget how precious life is! Today may be the last.
